Last month we had the pleasure of visiting Manila for the first time since starting Hireframe. Sitting in our tiny office (Mike’s Downtown Los Angeles apartment) three years ago, we started talking about where our team in Hireframe would be built. Given my previous experience helping to grow TaskUs (TASK), a Customer Experience Outsourcing company, into a global company, I was able to work with thousands of incredible people in the Metro Manila area and surrounding provinces. I knew that the Philippines would always be a big part of our future at Hireframe and our recent trip was proof we made the right decision.

Hireframe HQ started with a single hire, our recruiter Janie. It’s only right that she was the first person from our Philippines HQ team that we saw. Janie exemplifies every core value that we have at Hireframe and her influence is seen in many of the early HQ hires and Hireframers who joined in Year 1. Mike and I had the wonderful pleasure of having some great meals, fun field trips and hangouts with Janie and our core team based in the Philippines. While we had plenty of fun, perhaps the most rewarding part of our time with the HQ team was spent doing a workshop covering two great books on communication and leadership -: Crucial Conversations and Extreme Ownership.

Hireframer Brunch

On Monday morning (Sunday evening Los Angeles time) we got a chance to meet 50+ of our incredible Hireframers. Hosting a catered brunch filled with games, prizes and performances is the only way we could see closing out another great year at Hireframe with the people that make everything happen on a daily basis. We finally got a chance to meet face-to-face with team members that have become ingrained in their clients’ organizations and are first and foremost a part of the Hireframe family. After countless pictures, treats, songs and laughs, we said goodbye to our Hireframers until the next in-person gathering.

Doubling down on the Philippines

Finally, we left our Hireframers and HQ team with a final request, “send referrals”. Hireframe is committed to growing and continuing to build out our team in the Philippines. With a couple of big initiatives on the horizon like expanding our Hireframer Academy and doubling our team size in 2023, we have a lot of work to do and it starts in Manila. Getting on the plane to head back to Los Angeles, we’re left with an incredible amount of resolve and confidence. The Philippines is and will continue to be a core part of the Hireframe story.
